The Study will be led by Mr Giridharan Sivaraman, Race Discrimination Commissioner. This project will address all forms of racism with a focus on investigating the prevalence, nature and impact of individual and systemic racism within universities, including those universities with dual sector operations, in Australia. This will be a first step in the design and development of a national, longitudinal approach to measuring and tracking racism in the tertiary sector. In conducting the Study, the Commission will undertake: • research on domestic and international trends • a national online prevalence survey • focus groups and roundtables 83
