Guidelines on the right to a decent home in Aotearoa NOTE FOR CONSULTATIONS The main purpose of these Guidelines is to clarify what the right to a decent home means in the unique context of Aotearoa. In this way, they will support individuals, communities, hapū and iwi. They will also help national and local government improve their housing policies and other initiatives. The final version of this document will have two parts: Part 1 will include illustrative quotations, stories, narratives, and pictures, as well as basic data and information on housing in Aotearoa. This will give life to, and contextualise, Part 2. Part 2 will be the Guidelines on the Human Right to a Decent Home in Aotearoa. The final version will have a summary, acknowledgements and Appendices. It will be available in English and Te Reo and a range of accessible formats.
