Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning System
The NHRC will realign its Monitoring and Evalua�on (M&E) results framework with the
new strategic plan 2022-2027 aspira�ons to enable effec�ve M&E of its programmes and
opera�ons. NHRC will strengthen performance data collec�on mechanisms to ensure that
indicator data on NHRC work is systema�cally collected, stored, and analysed. Key
performance indicators (KPIs) will be developed in a par�cipatory process to incorporate
different perspec�ves and experiences of the staff.
The NHRC will enhance staff capacity in M&E to enable them to deliver on their du�es in
their respec�ve areas of exper�se. The Commission will also plans enhance the documenta�on
and use of lessons learnt and good prac�ces from the M&E process for benchmarking or
future replica�on. This will be done through periodic reports and reviews. Such M&E and
Learning System will provide key informa�on on planning and implementa�on and
therefore assist the Chairman, Members and staff in making evidence-based decisions in
their day-to-day work.
Monitoring and Evalua�on of the Strategic Plan Implementa�on Implementa�on of the
strategic plan will be closely monitored to determine status and establish the need for
amendments in light of a changing internal and/or external opera�ng environment.
Monitoring, follow-up, and control systems will be set up comprising of progress reports,
review mee�ngs and reports, and financial reports. In addi�on, the Chairman and
Members of the Commission will receive and review progress reports indica�ng overall
progress on the plan.
