The NHRC will con�nue to engage in the UN treaty bodies, UPR repor�ng, review, and follow-up on sustainable and effec�ve implementa�on. It shall also sustain engagements with other State and Non-State actors geared towards achieving compliance with na�onal, regional, and interna�onal human rights obliga�ons. These engagements will also provide forums for dialogues and follow-ups on the NHRC’s recommenda�ons among various duty bearers and provide pla�orms for capacity strengthening. The NHRC will also engage in advocacy for ra�fying new trea�es and implemen�ng exis�ng ones on human rights. SP5: Secure appropriate redress and accountability for human rights viola�ons and respect for the rule of law The Commission has introduced an ‘Electronic Filing System’ to expedite the ac�vi�es, and a Digital Complaint Management System with a database has been developed. NHRC will con�nue receiving allega�ons of human rights viola�ons directly through its offices, based at the Head Office in Dhaka, and all its county-based regional offices as well as online and handled with the digitalized complaints management system. The NHRC will also ensure that it deploys assis�ve technology to support persons with disabili�es, including staff of the Commission and people. As part of human rights educa�on, the NHRC will endeavour to set up an e-training portal that’s accessible via mul�ple pla�orms and devices. The complaints of the allega�on of human rights viola�ons are being inves�gated and recommenda�ons forwarded to relevant agencies of the Government for appropriate steps. The digitalised system is also expected to help NHRC to ins�tute quality management systems provide be�er services to the people in realizing human rights, provide redress to human rights viola�ons, end discrimina�on and exclusion, reduce the inequali�es and vulnerabili�es including discrimina�on, gender-based violence, violence against women, and ensure transparency and accountability of the ins�tu�on. This expects to improve data availability on human rights issues that would contribute to the human rights monitoring and repor�ng of NHRC at the na�onal and interna�onal level, including to the Human Rights Council (UPR) and the UN treaty bodies. SP6: Address the impacts of climate change from a human rights perspec�ve The NHRC shall enhance respec�ng, protec�ng, and fulfilling human rights to address environmental and climate change challenges and pursue sustainable development.
