When focusing attention on complaints concerning children it has been observed that due to certain legally related issues, respondents had faced problems. Thus, the age limit for marriage being 18 years, and the age for statutory rape being 16 years, those who were in between the ages of 16 – 18 faced problems due to the vague legal provision applicable to that age groups. Therefore, the regional office hopes to make an early study to propose recommendations to the government enabling speedy amendment of laws to create consistency in the related provisions. Many complaints lodged relating to land matters are of same nature. Transfer of ownership, and success areas are where issues mainly arise. It has been evident that these situations arise due to the delay in amending the Land Development Ordinance and the regional office has identified this as a special area, that need to be studied in order to make recommendations to the government.
