after the ECQ was lifted.
Atty. Santiago also detailed their other initiatives and livelihood programs like PPE
making in their Pangkabuhayan Centers, and the TODA to go program which endeavors
displaced tricycle drivers to have opportunities as delivery services. They also have a MOA
with the Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) to ensure that their policies are procompetition and anti-monopoly, to give MSMEs in Pasig a chance to compete with big
businesses. Another initiative is their business streamlining activities under their E-Boss
program which is an electronic application for ease of doing business renewal. Under this
program, they have also revised their fees as they were previously seen as exorbitant and as
nuisance fees. They endeavored to make all fees justifiable so some, like the garbage fee, were
lessened in order to ensure ease of doing business. A business and entrepreneur program is also
in the works, which aims to strengthen their MSME and local business development.

The general profile of the respondents
The majority of the participants consulted are jeepney drivers with more than 50 percent of
them are also operators.

Two of the 48 participants said that their work is covered by a written or formal contract.120

31.82 percent of the participants averred that they own the structures where they habitually
reside while 28 particpants said that they are either paying rent or that they own the
“rights.”121

The average household size is 5.95, where 25 percent of the participants have five (5)
members of the household. The biggest household recorded is 14 members while the
smallest is 2.

It also appears that 38.63 percent have two (2) cisgender males in their household, while
25 percent have three (3) cisgender females. Notably, there are households where there are

In the Philippines, there are circumstances where the possessor of a land (not necessarily the legal
owner) builds a housing structure and sells the structure to another. Usually, this takes place in informal
settlements where a structure is built on a land that the person does not own or without the legal right
to do so.
