The United Nations’ High Commissioner
for Human Rights, represented by the
International Coordination Committee and
its subcommittees concerned with approvals,
extend assistance in verification of the extent
of compliance by the national institutions of
human rights with the Paris Declarations, using
a fair and transparent processes that amplify
and enhance the credibility of the workings
of the national institutions for promotion and
protection of human rights, which institutions
are regarded as watchdogs primarily concerned
with strengthening and monitoring effective
implementation of the international standards
of human rights at the national level.
