Article 19
1. No one may be tried twice for the same offence.
Anyone against whom such proceedings are
brought shall have the right to challenge their
legality and to demand his release.

Anyone whose innocence is established
by a final judgment shall be entitled to
compensation for the damage suffered.
Article 20
1. All persons deprived of their liberty shall be
treated with humanity and with respect for the
inherent dignity of the human person.
2.
Persons in pre-trial detention shall be
separated from convicted persons and shall be
treated in a manner consistent with their status
as unconvicted persons.
3. The aim of the penitentiary system shall be
to reform prisoners and effect their social
rehabilitation.
Article 21
1.
No one shall be subjected to arbitrary or
unlawful interference with regard to his
privacy, family, home or correspondence,
nor to unlawful attacks on his honour or his
reputation.
2. Everyone has the right to the protection of the
law against such interference or attacks.
