VII. Media Information and Dissemination As an HR public educator and communicator agency, the CHR has placed foremost importance on creating and developing ways to sustain a strategic public information system via numerous channels which include the mass media. In this regard, it has complemented its public (i.e. all key and relevant stakeholders) interactions through various media outlets such as the television and radio networks and print news agencies, as well as with the digital social media. To carry out media information dissemination as part of its public information work, the CHR has released and distributed a total of 225 press releases and statements to internal and external stakeholders on urgent human rights issues from January to December 2021. Overall, the media releases gained 463 online news pick-ups, meaning, the information content were repeated and publicized by other news platforms. The CHR’s vigilant and rapid reply to the burning issues of the day aided the momentum of the agency’s public information work while strengthening its integrity as a constitutionally-mandated monitor and watchdog for human rights.
