Enacting NHRC’s Strategic Plan 2022-26 Meeting on NHRC’s Strategic Plan 2022-26 On 24th August 2022, discussion on enacting NHRC’s Strategic Plan 2022-26 was held at Hotel Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka.The meeting was chaired by the then Chairman of NHRC, Nasima Begum, ndc. Dr. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, the then Full Time Member, NHRC, Jesmin Ara Begum, Member, NHRC and officials of NHRC gave their opinions on the draft plan prepared by UNDP recruited consultant Mr. Akhter Hussain. 4.2 Meeting of Thematic Committee Meeting of the Committee on Rights of Elderly People On 04th January 2022, meeting of the thematic committee on Rights of Elderly People was held. Former Chairman of NHRC Nasima Begum, ndc chaired the meeting. It was decided that the NHRC would conduct a research on human rights situation of Elderly people in Bangladesh. The meeting also discussed about implementation of Mental Capacity Act, Elderly Development Foundation Bill, Parents Maintenance Act and National Policy on Elderly. Committee on the Rights of Dalit, Hijra and other Excluded People Meeting of the thematic committee on the Rights of Dalit, Hijra and other Excluded People was held on 11th August 2022 chaired by the then Chairman of NHRC Nasima Begum, ndc.
