Discussion on human rights with Secretaries to the government National Action Plan on Human Rights will be enacted shortly as per the UN Handbook on National Human Rights Plans of Action Besides, all the Ministries/ Departments should work cordially for implementing NHRC’s recommendations. Former Cabinet Secretary Khandkar Anwarul Islam said this in a discussion meeting with Secretaries to the government arranged by NHRC. The discussion was chaired by the then chairman of NHRC Nasima Begum, ndc. Former Full Time Member of NHRC Dr. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Member Jasmin Ara Begum and Secretaries to the government spoke at the event. Participants with Chief Guest at Discussion on human rights Nasima Begum, ndc said, “A National Action Plan on human rights will be enacted in Bangladesh for the first time for increasing awareness on human rights. The meeting was also aimed at disseminating executive summary of the National Inquiry report to prevent violence against women.
