Acting as party to certain cases in favor of the victims in the court;
Adopting mediation and reconciliation to deliver human rights services through
mutually acceptable solutions;
Providing counseling and legal aid to the victims and vulnerable groups;
Initiating field visits and Fact-Finding Missions to the affected and, or vulnerable
places including places of occurrences of violation of rights;
Sending recommendations and guidelines to the Government and to other
authorities to improve human rights situation;
Working on awareness building and advocacy by arranging workshop, seminar,
roundtable conferences etc.
Collaborating with NGOs, CSOs, donors, development partners, human rights
defenders and other organizations for establishing human rights;
Organizing training programs for officers, members of law enforcement agencies
(LEAs), lawyers and human rights defenders including journalists for promoting
and protecting human rights;
Participating in the international and regional programs organized by GANHRI,
APF, UNHRC etc. and working together with them on a greater human rights
platform; also participating in international cooperation and reporting to the Treaty
Bodies and the UPR regularly; sending recommendations to the government on
UPR and highlighting the recommendations made by international community for
implementation so that national human rights situation can be harmonized with
international standards.

the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs)
