NHRCB sends guidelines to MOHA on Anti-Drug Drive National Human Right Commission Chairman Kazi Reazul Hoque in a DO letter to Home Minister asked to ensure human rights of people accused or suspected of drug dealing. The commission chief also called on the minister to bring the drug peddlers to justice and ensure their exemplary punishment. The letter expressed concern over the deaths of suspected drug peddlers. The Commission also sent a guideline to MOHA requesting the Ministry to instruct the LEAs to follow the guideline during the anti-drug drive. NHRCB expressed concern over the attack on Student Protest for Road Safety NHRCB Chairman Kazi Reazul Hoque in a press statement urged the government to realize road safety demands made by the students and take steps to end anarchy in transport sector. He said, “Road safety is human rights. NHRCB notices that unskilled drivers, unfit vehicles and mismanagement in traffic system have turned the streets into death traps which is unacceptable. He said, "Journalists are human rights activists. The attack on them is unexpected. Nobody is beyond the law. The National Human Rights Commission recommends the authorities concerned to bring the relevant authorities under the law and ensure appropriate punishment by bringing them under the law. In order to stop such attacks, the Commission has sent recommendation to the Ministry of Home Affairs to give effective instructions to the concerned authorities ".
