Körero Whakamauähara : Hate Speech Part V: Concluding Comments This paper has provided an overview of hate speech in the New Zealand regulatory context and a summary of the different approaches taken in other countries as well as the relevant international human rights requirements. The document is intended to assist understanding of the important rights and freedoms that are pertinent to any discussion about hate speech and to contribute to the current public discourse and debate. It is hoped that it will assist ongoing and respectful dialogue about our current legal framework. 41
