Suffering Faced by Sunita due to Negligence by CGHS Dispensary, Pushp Vihar, Delhi (Case No. 102/30/2005-2006) 4.233 The Commission in this case had recommended to the Director of Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) to pay an amount of Rs. 1, 00,000 to the complainant. The Government in response filed a Civil Writ Petition No. 9776/2007 in the High Court of Delhi against the recommendation made by the Commission. The matter is sub judice. 31. Infants Die due to Bacterial Infections in Sree Avittam Thirunal Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala (Case No. 14/11/12/2007-2008) 4.234 The Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Kerala was directed to submit a factual report in the matter. Since the factual report was not received by the NHRC despite a reminder, it issued summons to the Secretary to appear before it along with the report. 4.235 Pursuant to the directions of the NHRC, a report was received from the Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Kerala. The report revealed that remedial measures had been taken by the State Government to reduce the mortality rate of the infants in the Sree Avittam Thirunal Hospital. On consideration of the report, the case was closed by the NHRC. 32. Death of Ravikant Puri due to Electrocution in Alamganj, Patna, Bihar (Case No.1902/4/2000-2001) 4.236 The NHRC in this case had recommended to Bihar State Electricity Board (BSEB) to pay Rs.50,000 to the next of kin of Satya Narayan Beldar, Rameshwara Prasad, Umesh Kumar and Ravikant Puri. The Commission’s recommendations have been complied with. The case has since been closed by the NHRC. 33. Eleven Workers Killed due to an Explosion in a Cracker Factory at Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh (Case No. 33497/24/2004-2005) 4.237 The Commission had issued notice u/s 18(a) (i) of PHRA to the Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh to show-cause as to why the State Government should not be asked to give monetary relief to the families of the workers who died in the occurrence. Since no response was received from the State, a reminder was issued by the NHRC. 34.
