5 police hitting the protesters with batons. At some event, pickup trucks crashed into motorcycles of protesters before arresting them while seizing the vehicles. Some motorcycles were also knocked over, or protesters were attacked to the ground. Although those arrested may have expressed acts of violence but it is not enough reason for police to making arrests regardless of the consequences especially when some of those who have been arrested were still minors, even under the age of 15, where special caution is required. Such action is therefore considered inappropriate and disproportionate when comparing it to the act committed by those who have been arrested and is a violation against human rights. 1.3 Whether judicial proceedings by government officials involves any act or neglecting of an act that can be considered a human rights violation. 1.3.1) The use of restraints and detention ( 1) Examinations revealed that restraints were used in the arrest of children and minors while arresting some of them. The accused was reported to be a minor or did not have the ability to escape or fight but police put cable tie on their wrists as a restraint. Based on the evidence, it is deemed a violation of the rights of children and minor, to arrest and detain a minor based on the government officials’ action to use restraints both at the time of the arrest and in custody despite no evidential behavior of trying to escape the scene. ( 2) From the inspection, there were also cases where minors have not been separated or treated with special care and were taken into custody at the Narcotics Suppression Bureau (NSB) together with other suspects without proportional separation of the controlled area. The detention of youth in such places and in that nature is considered inappropriate and does not consider the circumstances of minors, consequently, violating human rights. ( 3) From examining the issue of detention period of a child or minor, it does not appear that any child or minor has been detained for more than the period specified by the law.
