Summary of the investigation report on human rights violations Topic: Freedom of assembly, freedom of expression, rights and liberties in life and body, rights to justice, rights of children, rights of individuals to property, rights to privacy, and freedom of movement related to political rallies during July - September 2021 1. Background According to the investigation into the political rallies that took place on 16 and 18 July 2021, as well as 1 and 7 August 2021, the National Human Rights Commission is in the view that there may have been acts or omissions leading to human rights violations. Consequently, leading to the investigation following the submission of Petition No. 147/2564, Petition No. 154/2564 and Petition No. 155/2564. The National Human Rights Commission received further complaints from the political rallies during July - September 2021 as follows: (1) Allegations against the Government and government agencies of committing acts of human rights violations where the complainant considers the police’s use of force to control and disperse rallies, arrests leaders and protesters, as an act of abuse of power as well as limits the freedom of assembly. On this matter, the National Human Rights Commission has been requested to examine seven petitions, namely Petition No. 151/2564, Petition No. 158/2564, Petition No. 166/2564, Petition No. 182/2564, Petition No. 186/2564, and Petition No. 206 – 207/2564. (2) Allegations against protesters of the Car Mob Rally in Nakhon Ratchasima Province that took place on 7 and 15 August 2021, lead to people is suffering and is considered a human rights violation according to Petition No. 167/2564. (3) Allegations to provide remedy for damage in relation to human rights violation according to the Petition No. 164/2564
