Project Coornitaor of HRP-UNDP attended the discussion. The duscussion focused on how NHRC can
make its complaint handling mechanism easier.
Amnesty International delegation meets NHRC Chairman
On 16 October 2019 two member delegation
from Amnesty International made courtesy
visit to meet hon’ble Chairman of NHRC.
They congratulated her on becoming the first
woman Chairman of NHRC and appraised
her past role in promotion of human rights in
the country. They expressed their willingness
to support NHRC in promoting human rights
education among children. Hon’ble Chairman assured them of working together.
4.5 NHRC & ICT
• e-File system has been introduced and implemented in NHRC. (30 Officers & Staffs got
trained in E-file system)
• Electronic Government Procurement (E-GP) system implementation has been done.
• Call Center services and support has been functioning.
• Social Mediahas been used for the dissemination of information.
• Decision has been taken to introduce Digital Complaint Management System and Mobile
Applications shortly.
• Decision has been taken to introduce Integrated Digital Office Management System
4.6 Publications
This year NHRC published leaflet mentioning 30 articles of Universal Declaration of
Human Rights. This leaflet portrays the
articles in easy Bangla language so that
mass people including students can easily
understand the UDHR and their human
rights. NHRC plans to disseminate this in
each upazilla, districts and schools.
On the occasion of human rights day 2019, NHRC also published a special publication “Soronika”. In June,
2019, a special bulletin was published mentioning some key activities of the Commission. Besides, another
special bulletin on highlights of NHRC’s activities on Rohingya crisis was republished in this year.
