Hon’ble Minister of Ministry Social Welfare assured NHRC to work for Children without parental identity and Hijra Community NHRC Chairman and Full Time Member met hon’ble Minister of Social Welfare Ministry on 12 November 2019. They discussed the challenges faced by children without parental identity. They cannot have their NID and they face lots of challenges in their legal documents and certificates. They also discussed about the issue of changing names of transgender people. Hon’ble Minister assured the Commission that he will take steps to address these issues. ACC & NHRC will work together for preventing corruption & human rights violation With the aim of preventing corruption & human rights violation NHRC and Anti-Corruption Commission will work together. ACC Chairman Mr. Iqbal Mahmud and NHRC Chairman Nasima Begum, ndc agreed to signing MoU on this in a meeting on 04 November 2019. Dr. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, FTM, NHRC; Dr. Nomita Halder, ndc and Mizanur Rahman Khan, Members of NHRC also attended the meeting. 2nd Istanbul International Ombudsman Conference A two member delegation headed by Hon’ble Chairman Nasima Begum, ndc joined 2nd Istanbul International Ombudsman Conference from 19-20 November 2019. Hon’ble Chief ombudsman of Turkey Mr. Seref Malkoc sent personal invitation to Hon’ble Chairman of NHRCB to join this international conference.
