Book explores accelerating income inequality Income inequality in Aotearoa New Zealand was discussed in a new book published this year, Inequality: A New Zealand Crisis (2013),30 which looks at the causes and consequences of income inequality and identifies how tackling this disparity could help to reduce social problems. The book includes viewpoints from a broad range of contributors. The authors argue that, if it is not addressed, the gap between the rich and poor could have an effect on the job prospects, earning opportunities and wellbeing of future generations.
