Communicating our impact
In 2023, we increased the visibility of our work and that of our members through targeted communication
strategies. We focused on showcasing the efforts of APF member institutions and developing engaging
content to connect with our members, stakeholders, partners, and donors, highlighting best practices
from NHRIs.
We also refreshed the APF brand and began developing a new website to further our communication
efforts. The redesigned website, launched in August 2024, plays a crucial role in engaging members,
potential donors, and other stakeholders. It strengthens the communication of the APF’s values and
provides a platform for showcasing NHRI work and providing easily accessible resources.
Our social media platforms saw strong and consistent engagement, while the APF Bulletin continued
to be a vital tool for engaging with our members, partners, donors, and stakeholders, highlighting the
APF’s role and the achievements of NHRIs. In 2023-24, the APF Bulletin consistently outperformed
industry benchmarks for non-profit organisations, with an average unique open rate of 29.3% and a
click-to-open rate of 29.7%.
To further strengthen its impact, we developed an updated design for the Bulletin, reflecting the
refreshed APF brand and improving its visibility, usability, and relevance. This new design was
rolled out in August 2024. Feedback from our 2023-24 Annual Member Survey showed that 84% of
respondents found the Bulletin’s content highly relevant to their institutions.
