Selection was also based on availability and length of service. The numbers of interviews conducted are as follows: Superintendent of Prisons: 19 Chief Jailor: 21 Rehabilitation Officers: 18 Prison Guards/Jailors: 29 Special Category/Teacher: 1 Medical Officers: 12 Counselling Officers: 7 A total of 102 interviews of prison staff were conducted. 14
