Figure 10: Provision of PPEs At the same time, 76.7% of the respondents noted that their equipment and machinery are regularly maintained. However, as with the other questions, the consistency varied among the survey participants. Some explained that their companies conducted maintenance work on a regular basis (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or immediately after use). In contrast, others noted that maintenance work was done depending on the initiative of workers, infrequently, if there were damages or complications, or not at all. However, most (82.1%) did express confidence that they were adequately trained to handle workplace equipment where these were present. Regarding actual workplace facilities, 53.8% answered that there were safety signs present in their workplace, compared to 46.2% that did not. 54.8% confirmed the presence of prominently placed OSH posters in their workplace, compared to 45.2% that replied in the negative. Only a quarter of respondents did not have fire exits, extinguishers, alarms, first aid kits, and other equipment in their workplace. Similarly, 75.9% responded that their workplace and related facilities were readily accessible. More than half (58.1%) also noted the presence of workplace safety officers from the workers in their companies. 60.7% expressed that they were properly trained. Regarding the frequency of workplace OSH drills, eight respondents (36%) said there were no such activities in their workplace. The rest varied only in the frequency of the OSH measures.
