16 Figure 5: Hours of Work Among the regular workers, only three respondents indicated that they were regularized within 5-6 months. The rest of the answers were closely distributed from 1 year to as much as 7 and 8 years before regularization. On the other hand, non-regular workers gave various reasons for their employment status. A recurrent theme among the answers is their project-based status, the fact that they are employed under agencies, or that the company does not regularize workers. Interestingly, the vast majority of contractual workers indicated that the work they perform is identical to the roles of regular workers and is necessary or desirable for their employers.
