ESC Rights, 64 Other ESC rights, 34 The Backlog project: The Backlog Unit was established by the current Commission in 2016 to expedite the completion of accumulated files relating to pending complaints received before 2015. These inquiries have been pending for a considerable period of time due to a variety of reasons, including staff shortages, and have been the subject of public disquiet which the Commission takes seriously. The officers of the unit are committed towards expediting the inquiries and concluding the cases assigned to the Unit within a reasonable period of time.
