The above table shows that the potentials of personal mobility facilities for
persons with disabilities are too low, compared to others.
In this connection, the following observations were recorded:
1. The freedom of personal mobility of persons with disabilities is
associated with a developed ideological concept that takes into
account the priorities of this category of society. Thus, the efforts and
good offices exerted in this context start from the belief in the
importance of this right in order to be provided in the proper and
required form.
2. Inaccessibility by persons with disabilities to devices that assist in
their mobility and ease of movement, whether by the Ministry of
Social Development or the HCAPD, or contribute to the provision of
technological equipment that facilitate their mobility.
Twelfth: The Right to Privacy (Respect for Privacy)
The Respect for privacy of Human beings is one of the important principles
relating to human rights in general, and this applies also to the persons with
disabilities. However, the NCHR did not record any violation to this right.
In this connection, the following observations were recorded:
Hospitals do not allow looking into medical records relating to the health
and personal affairs of citizens, except by the person concerned. However,
this right includes the persons with disabilities to ensure their privacy.
