However, this is not accessible to all due to the high financial cost. For the same reason, persons with disabilities rarely find the different means, methods and forms of communication in their dealings with others. For example, the six o'clock news bulletin is limited to a sign language interpreter for local news broadcasted on the Jordanian Television at that time only. In this connection, the following observations were recorded: 1. As the first mediator between the thought and will of the people, the press is responsible for making a positive change in the method and pattern of dealing with persons with disabilities in the community. 2. It is essential to develop the capacities of people working in the media, journalists, and artists and train them on how to address the issue of disability in its advanced concepts. Tenth: The Right to Nationality According to the provisions of Article (3) of the Jordanian Nationality Law No. (6) of 1954, as amended, a Jordanian citizen is the child of a father holding the Jordanian nationality or who was born in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan under certain conditions. Persons with disabilities are granted the Jordanian nationality under this law, not on the basis of being with a disability or not. However, no violations relating to the right to nationality for persons with disabilities were monitored or recorded. 30
