In responding to human rights challenges in 2023, the Commission requires institutional support carried out by the Secretariat General of Komnas HAM RI, through human resource, and budget management. The dynamics of emerging human rights challenges always compete with the strengthening of resources in Komnas HAM institution. For this reason, in carrying out its duties and functions, the Commission always requires support from and synergy with various parties, including DPR, the Government, Ministries/Institutions/Regions, and civil society organizations. As a closing, feedbacks regarding imperfections in this Annual Report will be a lesson for us so that we can continuously improve the performance of the vi Commission in the future. On behalf of the leadership of the Commission, we hope that this Annual Report can provide an overview of the implementation of Komnas HAM’s duties and functions, as well as the general human rights situation in Indonesia.
