Each student is given 1 minute to choose a character to depict, that is, a deaf person, a blind person or a person with a physical disability. 3. Each student is required to use a different prop provided by the teacher according to the character he/she has chosen: Character Prop and Description Deaf Wears the raincoat (if available) or plastic sheet as a substitute for the raincoat Blind Holds the water bottle with both eyes covered with a blindfold PWD (physical disability) Stands at a distance of 150 cm from the ‘deaf’ and ‘blind’ students. The paper cup is placed on the head of the ‘deaf’ person. The ‘physically handicapped’ person will give instructions to the ‘blind’ person to pour the water into the cup on the ‘deaf’ person’s head until it is almost full. 4. Each group is given 10 – 15 minutes to demonstrate their characters while the teacher monitors them. Discussion/Presentation 5. After the demonstration, the students will provide their self-reflection on the activity and relate it to the rights of the child as well as human rights that they have learned. You may use the questions below as a guide. i. What are your feelings regarding the activity? ii. Did you experience any difficulty in carrying out the activity with your physical limitation? iii. What was the type of challenge that you faced as a result of your physical constraints and how did you overcome it? iv.
