HUMAN RIGHTS MODULE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL Implementation steps 1. Place the pieces of paper containing different attitudes in the box. The list of attitudes can be found in the appendix on page 104. 2. Ask the students to take a piece of paper each from the box. 3. Ask each student to relate briefly an experience pertaining to the attitude revealed on his/her piece of paper. 4. After every student has provide his/her answer, give the opportunity to some students to share with others why they do not like the attitudes stated during the earlier round. Discussion/Presentation 5. At the end of the activity, give the students the time and opportunity to provide their self-reflection on the activity they carried out. Among the questions that you can ask are: i. Do the attitudes stated cause problems in your life? ii. If there are friends who have such attitudes, what can you do? Conclusion 6. The teacher concludes the day’s lesson by stressing the rights of the child as well as human rights learned from the lesson. 7. The teacher needs to apply the values learned from the lesson. 8. The teacher can share additional information and specific facts concerning human rights. Reference notes for the teacher: i.
