HUMAN RIGHTS MODULE FOR PRIMARY SCHOOL Implementation steps 1. Ask the students to form a circle. 2. The first student asks any classmate he/she chooses a question. 3. After the second student answers the question, ask that student to ask a third student a question. This continues until every student has had an opportunity to answer at least one question from another student. 4. Give the opportunity to some students to explain why they directed a particular question to another student. 5. The following are some examples of questions that can be used as a guide at the beginning of the game, so that the students get a clearer picture: i. How many siblings do you have? ii. What type of food do you like? iii. Do you prefer to buy food from the canteen or to bring food from home? iv. What is your favourite subject? v. What subject do you think is difficult to understand? vi. Who is your favourite teacher? vii. What is your favourite sport? viii. What type of music do you like? ix. What is the name of your favourite celebrity? Discussion/Presentation 6. At the end of the activity, give the students the opportunity to provide their selfreflection on the activity they carried out. You may use the questions below as a guide: i. Were you aware that there can be differences between you and your friends? ii. Do the differences make you less comfortable about remaining friends with them? iii. Do you make friends only with those who like the same things as you do? iv. Do the differences that exist make you better or greater when compared to others? 100
