Commonwealth Mediation and Negotiation Training for NHRIs 2.43 Justice Shri K.G.Balakrishnan, Chairperson and Shri A.K.Parashar, Joint Registrar (Law) participated in the above programme organized by the Commonwealth Secretariat in collaboration with the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in August 2014. INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITES Visit to Vatican 2.45 Justice Shri Cyriac Joseph, Member, NHRC visited Vatican, Rome as part of the delegation headed by Shri Oscar Fernandes, Minister for Road, Transport and Highways to attend the canonization ceremony of John Paul II on 27 April 2014. OHCHR Officials Visit NHRC, India 2.46 Ms. Jyoti Sanghera, Chief of Section of the Human Rights and Social and Economic Issues at the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva along with Mr. Charles Radcliffe, Chief of the Global Issues Section, OHCHR in New York visited the NHRC on 29 April 2014. Roundtable Meeting of SEOs of NHRIs 2.47 The annual roundtable meeting of Senior Executive Officers of NHRIs was convened by the Asia Pacific Forum of National Human Rights Institutions in Sydney, Australia on 23 and 24 June 2014.
