It is the posi�on of Counsel on behalf of the family of Amri Che Mat that Amri Che Mat was abducted and that there is reasonable suspicion that Amri Che Mat’s “abduc�on” was carried out by State Agents.7 24. Counsel on behalf of the family of Amri Che Mat further submi�ed that if the evidence is insufficient to hold that the State Agents themselves carried out the “abduc�on” of Amri Che Mat, alterna�vely, there is reasonable suspicion that Amri Che Mat’s “abduc�on” was carried out by persons or groups of persons with the authorisa�on, support or acquiescence of the State.8 Posi�on of Assis�ng Officers of SUHAKAM 25. It is the posi�on of the Assis�ng Officers of SUHAKAM that on a balance of probabili�es, it can be concluded that Amri Che Mat was a vic�m of enforced disappearance that occurred on 24 November 2016, conducted by a group of highly trained personnel and that governmental agencies such as the Royal Malaysian Police (“the Police”), especially individuals within the Special Branch, had directly or indirectly been involved in the enforced disappearance of Amri Che Mat.9 Posi�on of the Malaysian Bar Council 26.
