JAMAKON organized a number Training of
In order to raise awareness about human
rights among government officials,
civil society, journalist, human rights
defenders and other professionals,
JAMAKON organized a series of events and
programmes throughout the country. The
awareness programmes include Courtyard
Sessions, Traditional Cultural Events,
Brave Man Campaign, Human Rights Day
Celebrations, Installation of Billboard,
distribution of Posters, Leaflet, and other
types of Training and Orientations.

188 participants form different Union
Parishads (UPs) and NGOs designated as
Community Facilitator participated in the
training. The main objective of the training
was to develop understanding and skills
in facilitating courtyards sessions at the
community level and also to inform the
common citizens of Bangladesh about
JAMAKON and different human rights
issues. The participants shared that
before participating in the training they
had little idea about JAMAKON, whereas
upon participating in the training they got
clearer understanding about JAMAKON.
