Meeting on Climate Change, Environment and Disaster Management Members of Thematic Committee on Climate Change, Environment and Disaster Management Meeting of this committee was held on 31 May 2021 virtually. Discussion was held on Climate Risk Insurance, impact of climate change on agriculture and industrial institutions, incorporating climate change issue in Election Manifesto, displacement due to river bank erosion and slum dwellers problems. Dr. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Full Time Member and Chair of this committee presided over the meeting. He presented a summary of the agenda. He mentioned that it was important to prepare training manual for journalists who were working against environment pollution. Also, he mentioned that information on climate change should be included in curriculum. Discussion was held on Buriganga river pollution, air pollution, formation of store house in 74 residential areas etc. NHRCB Members Advocate Towfika Karim, Jesmin Ara Begum, Additional Secretary of Ministry of Environment, Forest and climate change Md.
