Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner Part IIA Establishment and functions Division 1 Section 46C (a) organisations established by Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities; (b) organisations of indigenous peoples in other countries; (c) international organisations and agencies; (d) such other organisations, agencies or persons as the Commissioner considers appropriate. (4) In the performance of functions, or the exercise of powers, under this section, the Commissioner must, as appropriate, have regard to: (a) the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and the Convention on the Rights of the Child; and (b) such other instruments relating to human rights as the Commissioner considers relevant.
