We expanded our communications In late 2020 the APF recruited a Communications and Networking Officer, with the goal of bringing communications expertise in-house. With the APF’s communications work previously outsourced to external consultants, the organisation now has the internal capacity to manage the website, monthly e-newsletter and communications. In the past year we also expanded the APF’s social media presence to profile the work of NHRIs in our region and to engage with current and potential partners through strategic and informative content. “The membership in the APF is a very great benefit to us through providing training for IHCHR staff...providing great support and advice in the field of re-accreditation through the APF’s legal advisors, activating strong communication between the IHCHR and the international community, especially with GANHRI, international human rights mechanisms, as well as regional mechanisms.” High Commission for Human Rights of Iraq, APF Annual Member Survey 2020 – 2021 We stood together in solidarity and partnership 105.5% Website sessions up by 105.5% 78.7% 35.5% 44.5% YouTube channel subscriptions increased by 44.5% Website increase in page views 78.7% 53% YouTube views up by 53% with the average view time increasing from 1.58 to 2.03 minutes APF Bulletin open rate 35.5% (industry standard 27.7%) 31.9% APF Bulletin average click through rate 31.9% (industry standard 3.8%) Our members place significant value on their membership of the APF and rate their satisfaction with the APF’s governance and organisational structure very highly. We will continue to focus on our social media presence to profile the work of the APF and stories of impact from the region. In developing our new strategic plan, we will ensure that the APF continues to operate according to the highest levels of accountability and efficiency, and that we continuously improve our policies, processes and procedures. We will continue to take practical steps – through the delivery of APF services and networking opportunities, as well as in the conduct and implementation of governance arrangements – to ensure that all member institutions feel able to contribute to the direction of the APF.
