Must be a citizen of the Maldives. c. Must have attained 25 years of age. d. Must not be convicted of fraud or an offence punishable by a Hadd as per Shari’ah. e. Must not be a person holding an elected office or a political position under the Constitution or any law of the Republic of Maldives. f. Must not be employed in the Government or private sector. g. Must not be convicted of bribery. h. Must not be a member of a political party nor engaged in the activities of a political party. 4
