Sheoti who has won Physical

NHRC noticed the media report that
Shamima Sultana Sheoti has won
physical disability and completed
Master’s degree ". The report was
on-aired at Ekattor TV and it was
reported that daughter of a fisherman in
Satkhira could not walk by birth.
Despite her physical disability she
completed Masters degree in 2016. But
she had not got any job. She also
mentioned about not getting any
facility of disability quota.
District administration of Satkhira
reported that as per the instruction of
NHRC they have provided Shamima
with training on ICT and internet and
also after the training they gave her
laptop, modem, key-board, mouse as
donation.
Besides,
Bangladesh
Administrative Service Association,
Satkhira branch has sponsored shelter,
food and clothes for her.

reported that in 2018, voter list was
updated around the country, During
this time, physically disabled Biplob
Azad (52) was mentioned as dead. As a
result, he was deprived of the facilities
of PWDs. Even he could not have legal
property documents, could not
implement his right as voter and also
could not get covid-19 vaccine. In this
context, NHRC thinks that following
matters should be answered:
(a) Why Mr. Azad is failing to prove
that he is alive?
(b) Have the concerned authority seen
Mr. Azad physically? Is there any
NHRC Team visited the spot where tenant hostaged house owner
