While still high, member’s rating of the accessibility of information on the website dropped very slightly
(from 4.5 in 2011 to 4 in 2012). Members have made a number of suggestions on how to further improve
the use of the website. In consideration of this the APF is currently undertaking further detailed analysis
of the usage of the site, including in relation to the language in which the site is primarily published.
Another input into this analysis are the changes over the last year in the use of the site by countries in
the 25 top users of the site in 2011 and 2012, as show in Figure 6. This is influenced by many factors,
for example the rapid increase in usage of the site by Bangladesh reflects the increased engagement of
that country’s NHRI with the APF since being admitted as an associate member.

APF e-Bulletin
The APF published monthly issues of its newsletter, the APF
Bulletin, to keep APF members, governments, NGOs and
stakeholders informed of important policy, legal, administrative
and training developments in the region.
There was growth in the number of active subscribers to the
APF Bulletin from 1 111 (July 2011) to 1 190 (June 2012).
The unique open rate increased slightly to 36 percent and
the average clicks to articles remained stable from last year
at 767, indicating that the APF Bulletin, distributed 11 times
during 2011–12, has been well-utilised by subscribers and is
an effective tool in drawing visitors to the site. Members also
rate the relevance of the bulletin highly, at 4 out of 5.
Email broadcasts
Throughout the year regular email broadcasts were sent to Forum Councillors and their nominated staff
contacts. These email broadcasts covered a range of APF specific thematic and operational issues. In
addition the APF acts as the relevant communication channel for correspondence from the UN and the
ICC. In 2012 members rated the relevance of email broadcasts very highly at 5 out of 5, an increase on
their rating of 4 out of 5 last year.
