7. Collect sex-disaggregateddata in sports participation;
8. Promote partnerships with community-based sports organizations; and
9. Increasethe participation of the elderly women, womenwith disabilities and indigenous
womenthrough the promotion and developmentof programs for them in coordination
with other sport organizations.
G. All government agencies and LGUsare enjoined to increase women's participation by
forming women'sandgirls’ teams in various sporting events thatthey organizeor sponsor.
Womenin the Military, Police and Other Similar Services — The State shall pursue
appropriate measures to eliminate discrimination of womenin the military, police,
andothersimilar services, including revising or abolishing policies andpractices thatrestrict
womenfrom availing of both combat and non-combattraining that are open to men,or from
taking on functions other than administrative tasks, such as engaging in combat, securityrelated, or field operations. Womenin the military shall be accorded the same promotional
privileges and opportunities as men,including pay increases, additional remunerations and
benefits, and awards based on their competency and quality of performance. Theyshall not
be subjected to harassmentand violence, including verbal and sexual abusesin all stages
of their recruitment, training and service. Towardsthis end, the State shall ensure that the
personal dignity of womenshall always be respected.
Womenin the military, police, and othersimilar services shall be provided with the sameright
to employment as menon equal conditions. Equally, they shall be accorded the same capacity
as mento actin and enter into contracts, including marriage. Further, womenin the military,
police, and othersimilar services shall be entitled to leave benefits such as maternity leave, as
providedfor by existing laws. For this purpose:

The DND, DILG, DOJ and LGUsshall:
1. Grant the same privileges and opportunities to men and women,including pay
increases, additional remunerations and benefits and awards;
2. Give equalconsideration to men and womeninthe areaorfield of assignment such
as, butnotlimited to, operational functions, administrative functions and international
peacekeeping duties where womencan exercise anddeveloptheirfull potentials;
3. Pursue appropriate measuresto eliminate discrimination of women, including revision
or abolition of policies and practices that restrict womenfrom availing both combat
and non-combatanttrainings that are open to men,or from taking on functions other
than administrative tasks;
4. Assure non-discrimination in appointments to any key position as well as designations
to boards, tribunals, committees, or any decision-making body. Womenshall be
represented in every committee or board where gender issues and concerns are
articulated;
5. Ensure that the physical fitness tests administered on women uniformed personnel
in the military, police and similar services, as requirements for entry, promotion or
schooling shall be based on standards, set by the respective agencies taking into
consideration women's physical and biological built. These shall be different from
those required of their male counterparts. Moreover, physicalfitness tests for women
uniformed personnelin the military, police and similar services shall be conducted by
female doctors, practitioners ortactical officers;
