Family members, fellow students, and teachers alleged Jinnah and Sheikh were members of the Bangladesh Chhatra League and did not have criminal records. The RAB alleged that the two students were ‘criminals’ and ‘muggers’.73 According to the human rights organization Ain-O-Shalish Kendra (ASK), 133 deaths occurred in custody in 2010 alone, including 74 deaths in prison.
