Choosing data collection methods
Your data collection method will be guided by the indicators you are trying to measure, and by the type and
source of the data you are using. A list of the collection methods is included in Table 10 below. All these
methods can be used for collecting qualitative or quantitative data. Some intersect with others (e.g. case
studies and co-design could involve a range of data collection methods, while focus groups could also involve
interviews.)
