freely pursue trade union activity for the
protection of his interests.
2. No restrictions shall be placed on the exercise
of these rights and freedoms except such as
are prescribed by the laws in force and that
are necessary for the maintenance of national
security, public safety or order or for the
protection of public health or morals or the
rights and freedoms of others.

Every State party to the present Charter
guarantees the right to strike within the limits
laid down by the laws in force.
Article 36
The States parties shall ensure the right of every
citizen to social security, including social insurance.
Article 37
The right to development is a fundamental human
right and all States are required to establish the
development policies and to take the measures
needed to guarantee this right. They have a
duty to give effect to the values of solidarity and
cooperation among them and at the international
level with a view to eradicating poverty and
achieving economic, social, cultural and political
development. By virtue of this right, every citizen
has the right to participate in the realization of
development and to enjoy the benefits and fruits
thereof.
