Strong organisational leadership and governance Outcome 4: APF is member owned and well managed The APF seeks to operate according to the highest levels of accountability, efficiency and member participation. We are an independent, non-profit legal entity, with a board of directors – the Forum Council – that reflects our regional diversity. We developed our new Strategic Plan 2022-27 In 2021-22 we held extensive consultations with our members, stakeholders, and partners across the region and internationally, to develop our new five-year Strategic Plan. • Outcome 2: NHRIs have strengthened capability to effectively promote, protect and respond to human rights issues The APF Strategic Plan 2022-27 sets out our shared vision for an Asia Pacific where human rights are universally enjoyed and respected. It outlines our commitment to supporting the establishment of new NHRIs in the region, and building a strong, engaged network committed to working together to address and advocate on a range of human rights issues. • Outcome 3: NHRI voices are amplified in regional and international fora • Outcome 4: The APF is a well-functioning and governed network with an engaged membership Over the next five years of the Strategic Plan, the APF will work to achieve the following strategic outcomes: • The Plan also outlines three priority areas identified by APF members to guide our work: gender equality, environment and climate change, and human rights defenders and civic space.
