“We have also set up a multilingual interactive platform for foreign
fishers accessible via QR code and mobile devices,” Lin continued.
“Through this platform, they can view basic information and photos
of our fleet's 1,100 offshore fishing vessels. Although some employers
hesitate to share these details due to privacy concerns, we try to collect
as many images as possible during inspections and encourage them to
make this information public. If a vessel is well-equipped, it naturally
has a better chance of attracting highly qualified fishers, making the
boat a more appealing workplace.” 26
