Biennial Meeting of Commonwealth Forum of National Human Rights Institutions was held in Kigali, Rwanda on 16-17 June 2022. A number of meetings was held between and among commonwealth countries. Nasima Begum, ndc, the then Chairman of NHRC, and Kazi Arfan Ashik, Director (Admin & Finance) attended the meetings. Besides, they also attended the meetings of commonwealth Youth Forum, Commonwealth Women’s Forum and Commonwealth People’s Forum. Nasima Begum, ndc spoke about activities of National Inquiry Committee to prevent violence against women and children and the successful initiatives of Bangladesh for empowering women. Besides, she also urged international community to play strong role in resolving Rohingya crisis. 27th Annual Meeting of Asia Pacific Forum In 2022, 27th Annual Meeting of Asia Pacific Forum of NHRIs was held online. Nasima Begum, ndc, the then Chairman of NHRC, Dr. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, the then Full-Time Member and Kazi Arfan Ashik, Director (Admin & Finance) attended the meetings. NHRC Chairman urged all to assist NHRC in getting A status from GANHRI.
