Prof. Mesbah Kamal, Dept. of History, Dhaka University highlighted the importance of flourishing pluralism and diversity in the region. “It is not only important for Myanmar, but for Bangladesh as well to be inclusive in all aspects,” said Prof. Mesbah while taking part in the discussion. “Myanmar must repeal existing law to recognize Rohingyas as citizens,” he added. Dr. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, the then Full-Time Member of NHRC =said that the torture of Myanmar army on Rohingyas was surely genocide. He suggested international community to take concrete action in order to ensure safe repatriation of Rohingya people in Myanmar.
