Roundtable on Peaceful Repatriation of Rohingya: Challenges and Way Forward Roundtable on “Peaceful Repatriation of Rohingya: Challenges and Way Forward” was organized by the National Human Rights Commission and supported by UNDP on 08 June 2022. Representatives of different UN agencies, NGOs, and journalists took part in the discussion. Director-General of the Myanmar wing of the Foreign Ministry Miah Md Mainul Kabir explained different initiatives taken by the government of Bangladesh to solve Rohingya issues peacefully. Nasima Begum, the then Chairman of NHRC chaired the discussion. She said, “As a human rights institution, NHRC has raised the Rohingya issues in different international forums. We need to take initiatives to repatriate the Rohingyas through diplomatic negotiation with Myanmar. UNRC has an important role to play in this regard,” she said.
