Mock UPR of Bangladesh The National Human Rights Commission organized a Mock UPR of Bangladesh at Pan Pacific Sonargaon on 03 May 2018 jointly with HRP-UNDP. In the program Advocate Anisul Hoque, M.P, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs attended The Mock UPR as the Chief Guest. Md. Shahriar Alam, M.P, Hon’ble State Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mohammad Shahidul Haque, Senior Secretary, Legislative & Parliamentary Affairs Division, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; H.E. Mr. M. Shameem Ahsan, Ambassador & Permanent Representative of Bangladesh, Permanent Mission of Bangladesh, Geneva; H.E. Ms. Charlotta Schlyter, Ambassador, Embassy of Sweden; H.E. Mr. René Holenstein, Ambassador, Embassy of Switzerland were Special Guests. Hon’ble Chairman of NHRC Kazi Reazul Hoque chaired the program. Ayesha Khanam, President, Bangladesh Mahila Parishad; Sheepa Hafiza, Executive Director, Ain-o-Salish Kendra; Tahmina Rahman, Regional Director, Bangladesh and South Asia, Article 19 attended the program as discussants. Round table on Rohingya Influx & its Impact on Locality: Role of Stakeholders for durable solutions The National Human Rights Commission, Bangladesh jointly with HRP-UNDP organized a round table on “Round table on Rohingya Influx & its Impact on Locality: Role of Stakeholders for durable solutions”. The program was held on 31 July 2018 in Pan Pacific Sonargaon. The objective of the program was to go for mapping who should play what role and how coordination should be maintained.
